Billie Holiday Tribute Jazz Concert at Lafayette Square

In 2019, I produced the inaugural Billie Holiday Jazz Concert at Lafayette Square. The free concert, sited at an historic park in West Baltimore, was a musical celebration of the rich and important legacy of Baltimore’s own Billie Holiday. With over 500 guests attending, the free music concert was designed to return the performance of classic jazz to its origins in historic African American communities.

Lift Every Voice and Sing at The Atlanta Music Festival

Working with teams of music educators, elementary students and families, I helped organize a 500-person children's mass choir to sing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" at Atlanta's Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. This event, and related educational activities, formed part of the 2016 Atlanta Music Festival, a biennial event celebrating African American musical and cultural heritage since 1910.
